PE_1 Concept Mapping
I have been tasked to create a concept map of all the topics covered in 8th Grade Language Arts, and relate these concepts to our state standards. This process is needed to show growth as a result of our state receiving Race To The Top funding. I have chosen to research a couple of the mind mapping web2.0 tools available at this time. One is called freemind, and I am going to try to use this one to accomplish this daunting task!

This is a user friendly application. I began using it when we started this program for month one. I also used it for the reading assignment for this month. There are some other concept mapping tools that are nice. I recently started using Personal brain. With personal brain you are able to link websites and make connections between different concept maps. I just saw one of Angela's concept maps. She used a website called spicy nodes. It seems similar to personal brain. If you are looking for other options, check them out. Good Luck with your task.
